Apple Review in September 2021: iPhone 13, iPad Mini, Apple Watch 7

[ad_1]

Somehow September already means it’s time for new iPhones. Today, as it has been done for the past year and a half, Apple has broadcast a virtual launch event from its spacecraft headquarters in Cupertino, California. (These remote features may take some time because Apple has canceled its plan to force employees to return to the office by next year.)

In addition to the four new iPhone models, Apple also showcased some other brilliant gadgets – including the new Apple Watch and the updated iPad Mini – and updated information about its growing business services and software running on many devices.

That’s all Apple has announced.

Hello, iPhone 13

There are four versions of the iPhone 13 to choose from. They range from an inexpensive 5.4-inch screen to a heavy and versatile 6.7-inch Pro Max. As for the design, the visual differences of the new models are insignificant. At least the notorious notch is a little smaller.

Inside, each phone runs on a new Apple 15 Bionic chip. This allows for enhanced features such as live text analysis, enhanced map animation, and instant visual identification of plants and animals that are processed on the device without the help of the cloud. Storage capacity has also increased. Cheaper models with 128GB and Pro phones can be achieved by 1 terabyte of space.

You can read our report on the iPhone 13 for a full introduction to its new features. The iPhone 13 Mini costs from $ 699, the regular iPhone – $ 799, Pro – $ 999, Pro Pro – from $ 1099. Pre-orders open on Friday, and all phones will be available on September 24.

During today’s event, Apple briefly touched on the privacy options of the new iPhones, perhaps because it sought to avoid the recent controversy with photo scanning in which it found itself.

Tricks with the camera

Perhaps the most amazing update of the whole event is Apple’s new video feature for the iPhone called Cinematic Mode. It’s a kind of video portrait mode that automatically changes focus and blurs the background to adjust the bokeh effect. On Pro phones, you can adjust the depth of field and focus even after shooting. It is also possible to shoot in high-quality ProRes format from Apple.

The iPhone Pro models have received updates for their three lenses: telephoto, wide and ultra-wide. There are also some new advanced options for color correction on the device and photo enhancements that automatically adjust images to suit the colors and skin tones of the objects.

New iPad and iPad Mini

The smallest iPad has received a significant update. Apple has brought the aesthetics of the iPad Mini more in line with other recently redesigned tablets. It is thinner, with softer rounded corners. The screen is now slightly larger, its diameter is 8.3 inches. To accommodate this wider format, the Touch ID sensor has been moved to the outer edge. There is no home button, and there is now a USB-C port at the bottom. It really looks like a giant iPhone!
