Amazon Fire tablets and lights are on sale now
The best bonus about Amazon devices is the price. What the company’s pills lack in power, they make up for by being so cheap that it’s too good to be true – especially when they’re sold like they are now. Kindles is a slightly different story. They are more expensive and sold less often, making them even more profitable.
The best time to buy any Amazon device is Prime Day, when they are usually about half as small, but now on Fire Tablets and Kindles the discount is 30 percent, which is about as good as you’ll find outside of Prime Day. . Be sure to read our guide to find the right Kindle and Fire tablet to understand which of these offerings is best for you.

The entry-level Kindle remains a reliable e-book reader, and the latest model has backlighting for the 6-inch E-Ink touchscreen, which means you can read in the dark. This is our favorite Kindle for the money. This is very close to the best price we’ve seen on the Kindle this year (it’s only $ 5 more than it was on Prime Day). Be sure to take advantage of the three free months of the Kindle Unlimited deal, which gives you access to a huge e-book library. After three months, Kindle Unlimited is $ 10 a month, so set a reminder to cancel if you don’t want to keep it.
The higher-resolution Paperwhite screen and waterproofing make it an update worth thinking about. For not much more money than a regular Kindle, it reveals the joys of reading in the pool, on the beach and in the bath without fear. The display is on the same level, and the device has an IPX8 rating, which means it can sit in 2 meters of water for two hours. Read more about its features here.
The Kindle Kids Edition is the core Kindle at the top of this list with some parental controls and — more importantly — a two-year Amazon warranty. The warranty means that if your children’s Kindle edition falls down the stairs because your child has decided to see if it will bounce like a slip, Amazon will replace it. Not only does it cost extra money, but you also get an annual subscription to Amazon Kids +, which gives your kids access to a wide range of books suitable for kids. After 1 year, the subscription will automatically renew for $ 3 per month, so be sure to set a reminder if you don’t want to renew it.
Offers fire tablets
Amazon’s latest Fire HD 10 appeared earlier this year with more RAM and a brighter screen, confirming it as a more capable tablet than the 8-inch version. This is our favorite cheap tablet and the best Amazon tablet you can buy, with faster performance, more storage and a 10-inch HD screen that looks a lot nicer. The Plus model with an extra gigabyte of RAM is also priced at $ 130 ($ 50 discount), and the new performance kit is $ 210 ($ 90 discount). The kit comes with a keyboard along with software adapted to work, making Fire HD 10 a more workable device until you use Google’s office suite, which won’t run on Amazon hardware.
While HD 10 is better, Fire HD 8 is a very capable tablet at that price. Smaller forms -the factor is easier to keep. This is our preferred choice for travel. The Plus model with additional RAM (3 gigabytes instead of 2) is a model that sells for $ 80 ($ 30 discount).
Fire HD 8 Kids Edition is our best choice for children under 7 years old. It’s small enough for young hands and soft, so it probably won’t break if you drop it. Like the Kindle Kids above, you also get a two-year no-questions replacement plan and a one-year subscription to Amazon Kids +.
If you have kids older (about 8 years and older), the Fire HD 10 Kids Pro Edition has a less bulky case and more app options. There is still a lot of parental control in the settings.
